For those of you who have known me "longtime" know me as a dark brown brunette. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be blonde. It's that typical woman thing of never being satisfied with your hair and also I've always wanted to find out if blondes do have more fun. So during the past two years I've gradually lightened my hair and am now about as blonde as I'm ever going to be. And I must say, it's fun and I do get noticed more.

Towards the end of last year a new buyer started at one of our bigger customers which means he knows me "short time". One day I made a silly mistake with some info he needed and he said to me, "oh you are such a blonde" . Huh?!? Once again, those of you who have known me longtime, can picture my face. Being on the receiving end of that comment was such an eye opener. I realise it was said in total jest and no harm was meant, but, I must say, I felt rather insulted. No one has ever called me the equivalent of a silly girl or woman, I've never allowed it and yet because I'm blonde, it is assumed that now it's alright. Before you go dilly on me, and tell me I'm being hyper sensitive, I do realise that this was one incident only, it doesn't happen to me everyday, but gosh, I do know some gorgeous blonde girls to who are on the receiving end of comments like that all the time. Heck I'm one of those people who direct those arrows at them! Big lesson for me, I'm gonna stop doing that.
